Ocean Plastic-Made Swimwear

Family Brand Snapper Rock Launched the Eco-Friendly Oceania Line

In the wake of climate change and the plastic pollution crisis, fashion-forward family brand Snapper Rock launched the Oceania swimwear collection -- its first sustainable swimwear capsule collection made from recycled products.

According to a recent study, 640,000 tons of used fishing nets are left in the ocean each year and approximately 60 million plastic water bottles are discarded every day. To solve this pollution issue, the Oceania collection is made fabrics such as ECONYL (created from discarded nylon fishing nets) and REPREVE® (made from recycled plastic bottles). The collection pays homage to the ocean's coral reefs by using a vibrant mint and sand dollar-inspired palette for bikinis, rash tops, board shorts, baby sets, reversible bucket hats, and more.
