The O2 Magnetic Dumbbells are the weights of the future. It foregoes the typical bulky and, of course, weighty design for something a lot more compact and portable. Using the science of electromagnetics, they look like simple armbands, something that the stars of 'TRON: Legacy' would be decked out in.
Designed by Suhyun Yoo, Hongseok Kim and Juhyeon Lee, the O2 Magnetic Dumbbells work in sets of four. Placing them just above and below the elbows, they create a repelling electromagnetic force, which can be adjusted by a dial. Although the weight isn't held in hand but instead distributed throughout the arm, the O2 Magnetic Dumbbells still creates a resistance that works to increase muscle mass.
