The Nissan Nilsson is Inspired by 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang'

It seems like every day that a new invention is created that is powered by something incredibly original and unique. The Nissan Nilsson is one of these creations. This retro-looking automobile happens to run off of $24 Makers Mark bourbon whiskey.

Designed and developed by 62-year-old Mickey Nilsson, the Nissan Nilsson is, obviously, made using the body of the Japanese car model. Inspired by the movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and by the stars of American Pickers, the Nissan Nilsson is a concept car that bridges the old with the new.

It took six months to complete the Nissan Nilsson, which is set to officially debut in 2014. Until then, we can enjoy the old school image above and hope that not too much changes between now and then.
