Nick Albertson, a young photographer hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, has put together an impressive series centered on abstract captures of everyday objects. Titled 'Work in Progress,' the collection of still life imagery is intriguingly textural. Taking common household objects such as elastic bands, pink napkins and metal hangers, Nick Albertson takes them out of their typical context to create layered patterns that almost appear like three dimensional wallpaper of sorts.
Currently studying for his MFA in Photography at the Columbia College in Chicago, Illinois, Nick Albertson is full of raw potential. With an eye for composition and a pension for creativity, Nick Albertson has a bright future ahead of him. In fact, he will be holding his first solo show will be at Aspect Ratio Projects in Chicago in early 2014.
