Sage is the New Solitaire Specially Designed for Smartphone Play

Developer Zach Gage has created the new solitaire for smartphones.

Named after a combination of the word solitaire and his last name, Sage is a card strategy game that tweaks a lot of the issues Gage saw with the original computer game. Gage says that solitaire was originally meant to be a large, sprawling game, taking over entire dining room tables with piles of cards. That just isn't possible on a computer or phone screen, and so the electronic solitaire is a diluted version of the classic card game. The new solitaire changes all that. Played with smaller piles of cards and poker-like rules, Sage is a game uniquely adapted to play on a smartphone. Gage also changed the look of the cards on his new solitaire game to suit a screen. The cards are larger and each suit is a different color.

Just as the original inspired hours of frustrated clicking, the new solitaire is a fresh source of addiction.
