The New Ethical Ocean Website Presents a Revamped E-Commerce Company

The new Ethical Ocean website revamps its already-cool platform that offers sustainable, environmentally friendly, fair trade, cruelty-free and organic products at the click of a button. That hasn't changed but after a promising first year, Ethical Ocean chose just the right time to revamp not simply its web design, but also its very DNA.

For one, the homepage is now personalized to what products you shop for most. "We now ask members what matters most to them when they shop," said CEO Chad Hamre who SocialBusiness.org interviewed last April. What's more, the e-commerce boutique is now a members-only site. To join, you have to create an account but also invite friends to gain access. If you have 15 friends join (who you invited), Ethical Ocean will donate $20 to a charity. It's a social network with purpose and stands to reinvent the way in which we shop for sustainable goods.

The main page of the new Ethical Ocean website features a never-ending scroll through everything from bamboo tech t-shirts, trendy leggings, hemp products to fair trade chocolate, reusable water bottles, boho jewelry and mineral eye liner. With all that and more, the company is building community through commerce.
