The New Balance Authors Collection is a Homage to American Literature

The iconic American footwear brand New Balance is celebrating all-American products by creating the New Balance Authors Collection, which features footwear inspired by American literature.

The new collection is part of the New Balance 'Made in the USA' initiative and boasts high-quality silhouettes made with all-American materials that evoke memories of rich mahogany-bound books. The shoes stick to a neutral colorway by namely sticking to black suede, brown leather and tan outsole elements. And while Adidas and Nike are making their shoes in the likes of iconic athletes, New Balance is trying to reach consumers with a classy and educational approach.

The shoes' designs are inspired by literature that drew inspiration from pivotal American history like the Western Expansions and battlefield happenings. They will be released in three tiers starting in July.
