'Sage Green' Net-Zero Home Development First in the Nation

Sage Green is a net-zero home development being built in Beaverton, Oregon. Ben Walsh, owner of Green One Construction is behind the innovative first-of-its-kind project in the United States.

Walsh gave up LEED and Living Building Standard certifications to balance construction cost with energy efficiency. The 18 home development uses SIP panel construction, solar panels and heat pumps. A three-bedroom 1,600 SF Sage Green net-zero home will sell for about $258K, be eligible for energy tax incentives and boast negligible energy costs.
