UK-based retailer Sainsbury’s launched its Nectar Double Up event last October, just in time for a busy Christmas shopping season. The event is known to attract hundreds of thousands of participants each year, and allows customers to double the value of their Nectar points, unlocking massive savings in store.

Vouchers for the Nectar Double Up promotion could be conveniently accessed via its rewards app, and were redeemable in store across 10 departments including toys, electronics and more. "The Double Up event has proved to be immensely popular in the past and we know that this year more than ever our customers are looking to make their money go further and find little ways to help with the cost of Christmas," said Sainsbury’s loyalty marketing manager Jimmy Galloway before its launch last year.
