Green Jungle Gyms

The Nature Energy Park Teaches Children About Renewable Energy

The Nature Energy Park is an eco-conscious jungle gym designed to teach kids the importance of renewable energy. Designers You Song Young, Jin Soo Yeon, Ahn Ho Sang and Lee Sung Jae designed this jungle gym with toys that teach kids about solar, wind, hydroelectric and kinetic energy.

The importance of renewable energy is demonstrated by the games that make up the Nature Energy Park: A pedal-powered radio demonstrates kinetic energy, while a pinwheel-powered traffic sign shows how the wind can be used to produce energy. "A solar-powered optical illusion" and a waterwheel powered by a seesaw round out this play place's educational eco-toys. Young kids learn a ton through play; playgrounds could really benefit from having more educational equipment that teaches children the benefits of green power.
