Nancy Judd's Recyle Runway Exhibit Makes Trash Chic

Throughout the month of May if you find yourself delayed in Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport count yourself lucky, as you will be able to check out Nancy Judd’s Recycle Runway exhibit. Renowned recycle artist and environmental activist, Nancy Judd is best known for her creative reincarnations of knicks knacks and trash into breathtaking and fashionable attire. Her creations include slimming trumpet-style dresses, coats, shoes, purses and sun hats. All of these pieces are made of materials the majority of people would discard (or recycle) including aluminum soda cans, detergent cans, campaign fliers and caution tape.

Yet with a creative mindset, Judd creates masterpieces that look red carpet ready and some are even wearable. This airport exhibit will feature 21 of Nancy Judd’s eco-conscious sculptures that will be displayed in ten glass cases complete with information on materials used and hours it took to make. The exhibit starts to run on April 18, 2012 and runs for a full year. Judd gives a second life to our waste and stands by her motto: waste does not exist, only wasted resources.
