Spotify's New Update Allows Split View for iPad's

An update to the Spotify app has allowed for multitasking support for iPad devices. The update includes a Split View function as well as Slide Over capabilities. iPad users will no longer need to operate the app in full screen mode to search for music, and will no longer need to switch songs through the small drop-down menu.

Multitasking support through the new Slide Over feature works when users place Spotify into their iPad dock, after which point users can open other apps and view Spotify on top of already running apps. The Split view feature works with users being able to drag and drop Spotify to the upper portion of the display, users can also adjust how much each app takes up the screen.

The company indicated that the new Split View feature of iPad users is currently live.
