Corsair's MP600 Pro Hydro X M.2 SSD Runs at Ambient Room Temperature

Corsair launched the newest product in its MP600 series of high-performance solid-state drives (SSDs), the 'MP600 Pro Hydro X.' The Hydro in the name refers to the cooling solution for this SSD, as Corsair has customized an attached heatsink to accept inputs from a custom water-cooling loop. As a result, this SSD is compatible with any PC running modular water cooling.

The MP600 Pro Hydro X leverages its ultra-low temperatures as a result of water cooling to deliver read and write speeds of nearly seven gigabytes per second while maintaining temperatures that approach ambient room temperature, even under a full load. In Corsair's testing, the company displayed the SSD running at a temperature of only 28 degrees celsius, significantly colder than most internal computer components.

In terms of its storage capacities, the MP600 Pro Hydro X is available in only a two-terabyte configuration at an SRP of approximately $600 USD.
