The 2020 Banff Mountain Film Festival Will Run for Nine Days

This year, the Mountain Film Festival that's hosted by the Banff Centre is going virtual—spotlighting a series of films that celebrate the outdoor adventures of dedicated filmmakers and their subjects.

The 45th Mountain Film Festival will feature a total of 75 films over the course of nine days, including both full-length feature films and short films. A few noteworthy feature films to make their debut at the festival include 'Bear-Like,' which follows two adventurers on their travels in Alaska where they come into contact with grizzly bears, and 'K2: The Impossible Descent,' following a solo mountaineer from Poland who attempts the world's second highest mountain without the use of supplemental oxygen.

Tickets to the festival are available through the Banff Centre website, and the event will take place from October 31st until November 8th.
