Designer Vittorio Cuculo has created a mood lamp that changes colors according to your face. These mood lamps are regular Ikea lamps that have been hacked by Cuculo, the mood lamps alongside a clever computer program reads changes in your facial movements sending signals to the lamp making it change colors.
The mood lamp uses a program called 'OpenCV' to process the images and to identify emotional state with analysis. The mood lamp is essentially a natural interaction system that picks up on the facial expressions to represent different feelings and emotions.
The mood lamp was made with the help of another program called 'Arduino' this program scans the user’s face through a webcam image, it then changes the color of the lamp accordingly.
