Cheap Mobile Email

I've often wondered what the price of mobile e-mail is - or, should be - outside of PDA-Land. Today, one can easily access one's e-mail through various data package programs by way of provider's plans, but they're ridiculously expensive to the point of being insulting. So, how does the average man have an average cell phone, and yet be active on the go with personal e-mails? As an aspiring Trend Hunter and online news enthusiast, I've done some research recently, and I've concluded that Meemo - a 5$ a month service - is as good as it gets. It's about time, really. This is big. We can clone animals now, we should be able to give the lower-to-middle classes of the world e-mail to their cell phones.

As the website says, Meemo corrals personal e-mail addresses to pretty much any cell phone (I just renewed for my first month, after testing out the trial version - which is free for a month through the site - on my old Motto phone, and my girlfriend has it working on her RAZR), for 5$ a month. Gmail has a spin-off of this, as does Hotmail, but it's not the same, and it depends on in-phone surfing, which costs you big time (probably around $5 a pop, if you're not careful).

Not only doesMeemo offer this mobile e-mail corral system, it also lets you send unlimited e-mails from your phone! On top of that, as far as I can tell, there's no mail clutter involved either - the 5 bucks is just added to your regular phone bill (No extra paper! Attention eco-friendly!), and I guess you save the world from another piece of plastic doomed to eventual obsolescence, for a while.

There are a few competitors in the market, but when put under scrutiny, they're evidently sub-par to Meemo. Thus, in conclusion, the cost of mobile e-mail is actually $5 a month, if you so choose, and not $50-100. Chalk one up for the average Dude.
