The Mini Meteorite Swipe Bag is Made from a Piece of Space Debris

Coperni’s new Mini Meteorite Swipe Bag is a $42,000 accessory that was made with a meteorite from space. This limited-edition bag from the French luxury brand gives people the chance to tote around a lunar fossil that fell to earth 55,000 years ago, which was found in France in 1968 and carved in 2023. Due to the nature of the material, each piece is made by hand and the shape and color may vary slightly. For each order, the meteorite is purchased individually and may come from different places, depending on where it landed.

This handbag for collectors of fashion and space artifacts is as statement-making as it is strength-building. The heavy two-kilogram bag will be featured in the brand's Fall/Winter 2023-24 fashion show.
