Artist Mike Doyle Creates a Sci-Fi City from 200,000 LEGO Bricks

This intergalactic alternative universe was created by New Jersey artist, Mike Doyle. The colossal building block art piece entitled ‘Contact 1’, took 200,000 LEGO bricks to complete. The space-age creation show the artists impression of a futuristic city with spaceships orbiting around it.

The artist says the grandiose creations are to be the first in his series of buildings that "celebrate extra-terrestrial contact events, spiritual beings and unique worlds." In an interesting move, the artist is offering instructions on how to create the Sci-Fi world on his Kickstarter page. He is also selling some limited edition prints for any fans of his ‘Contact 1’ project.

In an age where everyone is trying to predict the future, these LEGO-made creations offer a fascinating glimpse into this artist’s impression of what the world could be.
