Bare-Boned Celebration Cars

The Mercedes-Benz 4WD Cabriolet Unimog Celebrates 60 Years

The Mercedes-Benz 4WD Cabriolet Unimog is easily one of the quirkiest rides I have ever come across. This curiously designed car is a throwback to the first ever unimog made by the Silver Arrow in 1951.

While it may be hard to believe, that unimog created back in 1951 was a cabriolet and was green. That's where the similarities end though, as this ride has a badass look with its jacked-up suspension and massive off-road tires. While I would love to see the Mercedes-Benz 4WD Cabriolet Unimog showing its stuff on the highway, the car is destined to be a one-off, designed solely for celebration. Looks like I'll have to stick with my boring truck that lacks both a green paint job and the look of an alien insect.

Implications - Companies that can create a product that can draw attention of the public based on look alone have create an early advantage in the awareness department. Corporations or brands can capitalize on the short attention span of the general public by creating items that are aesthetically pleasing or confusing, thereby drawing attention to it, and allowing the quality of the product/brand to speak for itself thereafter.
