Haphazardly Modular Furniture

The 'Maroma' Storage Unit was Inspired by Magic Sticks

There is something so haphazard about the Maroma storage unit that I would almost be afraid to use it. Yet, that whimsical look is just what designer Daniel Romero Valencia was going for.

A modular furniture piece, the Maroma storage unit was inspired by a Mexican toy known as 'Magic Sticks.' Manufactured by PIRW, it is made out of "certified plywood with a biodegradable finish and cotton straps dyed with vegetable colorants," according to Yanko Design.
