Interactive Musical Pencils

Drawdio Turns Doodles Into Sound

"Drawdio" is a coined word which, according to the video above, combines ‘draw’ and ‘audio.’ Actually, I thought it combined ‘draw’ and ‘radio.’ Ah well. It’s a pencil created by Adafruit and Jay Silver that has an embedded radio to let the wearer draw and create sounds as they write. I suppose LeadPod or iPencil would be a trademark infringement.

The gadget makes sounds by completing a circuit your body creates via the lead in your pencil. If you hold hands with someone, you can make beautiful music together--maybe. Check out the video to see what that music might sound like.
