Collaborative Insect Sneakers

Madrid Skateboards and Vans Joined Up for a Celebratory Release

Madrid Skateboards, a brand that's based in Huntington Beach, California, worked alongside Vans in order to design a pair of sneakers that are covered in an unconventional insect pattern.

Mostly black, the monochromatic colorway is interrupted by a series of flies that are scattered across part of the upper, as well as the bright blue, pink and green logo for Madrid Skateboards. The iconic 'Sk8-Hi Pro' model from Vans is used for the model, making for sneakers that are casual, comfortable and versatile to wear. The use of this also speaks to the youthful skater demographic that both Madrid Skateboards and Vans look to appeal to.

Dubbed the 'Madrid Flypaper,' the sneakers were reportedly made in celebration of Madrid Skateboards' 40th anniversary and the 50th of Vans.
