Local Business Gift Boxes

Tourism Abbotsford and Trades Collaborate for Mother's Day

Many well-curated, local business gift boxes have been debuted as a way to satisfy the consumer search for a thoughtful present, as well as offer support for independent businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. In British Columbia, Canada, one such initiative was launched for Mother's Day.

Organized through a partnership between Tourism Abbotsford and Tradex, there were four thematically different options for consumers to choose from, each featuring a unique collection of artisanal goods. The 'Abbotsford Handmade and Homegrown Mother’s Day' series included more affordable options like 'Beautiful Basic' and 'Flower Power'—retailing for $38 CAD + tax each—and the 'Serenity' and 'Local Blend' boxes which were offered at $60 CAD + tax.
