Larry Sultan Captures Those Fleeting Moments in Time

When looking through the lens of a camera, I would argue that the photographer (whoever you are, from mother to professional) desires to capture that moment in time, just as Larry Sultan does. It’s about those intimate occasions that are fleeting, perhaps not easily forgettable, but frighteningly so at the same time.

Larry Sultan focuses on those moments. I do, however, agree with Katie Olsen when she says that his work is rather forced. Yet there is something in Larry Sultan’s overall work that is pretty impressive. Check out the gallery to see what I mean.
