Jose Cuervo Announced the Launch of a Bar Created from 100% Agave

In an effort to make tequila consumption more sustainable, Jose Cuervo, the leading global tequila brand, announced the launch of the first-ever bar made from agave. The Jose Cuervo Agave Bar was inspired by the brand's mission to find new and creative ways to reuse, repurpose and recycle agave byproduct -- showing consumers how versatile the plant is.

The limited-time experience underscores how agave byproduct (the main ingredient in tequila) can be repurposed to create chairs, straws, cocktails and more. The Jose Cuervo Agave Bar experience will include swag made from agave byproducts, agave temporary tattoos, and live music inspired by the AKAMBA festival. This music festival "takes place each year on the slopes of a volcano in Tequila, Mexico," and is driven by a mission to "treat the world more sustainably through art, music, spirits and cuisine."

For fans that can't be there in person, Jose Cuervo is giving away 1,000 At-Home Agave Bar Kits that include coasters, straws, cups, and a muddler made from agave.
