Corrugated Cardboard Lamps (UPDATE)

Johannes Kiessler Upgrades the Numerouno LED with Color

Johannes Kiessler is an artist who doesn't like to waste materials. A few years ago he came up with a prototype design for the Numerouno LED lamp, which is made from corrugated cardboard (a very eco-friendly alternative to regular illuminators). Now, he's expanded the line to include various colors that don't even look like cardboard from afar.

The lamps hang in a vertical manner, and go perfectly above a longer dining room table. For someone who is both budget-conscious and also trying to recycle as much as possible, this design checks both things off the list. According to DesignBoom, "the Numerouno is available in four different colors, blue, red, mint and grey and uses just a 9W LED for illumination," making this lamp quite versatile.
