In honor of National Sandwich Day -- a holiday that celebrates the birth of sandwich inventor, John Montagu the fourth Earl of Sandwich -- quick-serve restaurant chain Jimmy John's launched an unexpected giveaway. When Freaky Fast Reward members order a Favorite or Original Jimmy John's sandwich using their Freaky Fast Rewards, they will receive a free sandwich -- either the Original, Favorite, Frenchie or the new Little John at all participating locations.

"At Jimmy John’s, we’re committed to innovate [sic] for our customers," John Shea, Jimmy John’s chief marketing officer said. "Freaky Fast Rewards provides frictionless online and mobile tools and allows our busy customers to be rewarded for eating Jimmy John’s Freaky Fresh and Freaky Fast sandwiches."
