Jatalo Products Help Supply Kids with a Year's Worth of Textbooks

Aditya Viswanathan, founder of Jatalo, was on a trip to India when he discovered that many children could not go to school simply because the price of textbooks was too high. After discovering that several teachers were sponsoring individual children from their own salary, Viswanathan decided to create Jatalo as a way to provide children from around the world with the opportunity to receive the education that they were so willing to achieve.

For every backpack sold from Jatalo, one child is provided with the necessary textbooks for one full school year. Profiles on the website allow donators to see the impact of their purchase by connecting them with the individuals that they are helping.

The backpacks are inspired by communities from around the globe and have authentic color schemes that relate back to their culture of influence. Heritage, culture and community complement each other in creating a high-quality backpack that supports educational endeavors throughout the world.
