The Japanese fad Sushi Cats involves, as you might suspect, dressing your cat up as a piece of sushi. The bizarre fad, which has been embraced wholeheartedly by animal and sushi lovers in Japan certainly makes for some eye-catching and at times bewildering results.
The craze, which is referred to as 'Sushi Cats' or 'Neko Sushi', features cats resting atop huge mounds of sticky rice with objects that are meant to look like toppings strapped to their backs. The backstory to this weird and wonderful invention is that these 'Sushi Cats' are "magical and historical creature" who "hail from another dimension in space."
One thing's for sure, anything that involves cats will be perennially popular in all corners of the internet.
