Spicy Hybrid Burritos

The New Jalapeno Popper Quesarito Features Jalapeno Slices and Melted Cheese

Taco Bell recently began testing a new menu item called the 'Jalapeno Popper Quesarito.' The dish combines the fiery taste of jalapeno poppers with the cheesy filling from the Quesarito for spicy, yet flavorful snack.

The new Jalapeno Popper Quesarito is an updated version of the chain's existing Quesarito, which is a quesadilla that has been treated like a burrito. The latest incarnation of the dish consists of sliced jalapenos and melted cheese layered between two flour tortillas. The cheesy tortilla exterior is then wrapped around Latin rice, nacho cheese, sour cream, crispy jalapenos and a choice of either chicken, steak or seasoned ground beef. The addition of two serving of jalapenos give the dish just the right amount of heat to balance out the hearty filling.

The new dish is currently being tested in Charlotte, North Carolina, with plans for a national roll-out hinging on customer response.
