LG recently partnered with Cerence, an automotive company, to focus on creating technology for an in-car voice assistant. The two organizations will then look to sell the in-car voice assistant to automotive manufacturers, who will use the technology in vehicles. The partnership will operate in Santa Cala, and the project will start at the beginning of 2020.
The partnership will allow LG to use Cerence's AI reference kit, which was specifically designed to be used for in-car voice assistants. LG will then be able to integrate this technology into its webOS Auto, which is a Linux software system for technologically-integrated cars.
