In-Car Delivery Services

Volvo's In-Car Delivery Lets You Have Products Delivered To Your Car

Volvo In-Car Delivery is a new service that is going to make Christmas shopping a whole lot easier this year -- if you own a Volvo and live in the Swedish city of Gothenburg. This program essentially allows users to buy products online and have them delivered to their car when they're away.

Volvo partnered with logistics and communications company PostNord, toy and baby store Lekmer and online grocer retailer Mat.se.

Shoppers simply select the In-Car Delivery option when they're checking out of their purchase. A courier is then directed to the user's parked care via GPS. They then use a single-use digital key to unlock the vehicle, placing the goods in its trunk. The user then receives a notification.

This service makes package deliveries more efficient than ever, while the one-time digital key system keeps the vehicle secure at all times.
