French photographer Denis Darzacq worked closely with several street dancers and performers in order to take images that looked like they were falling onto hard ground without any cushioned landings. The photography was carried out in the suburbs of Paris.
The dancers tried different jumps and approaches, over and over again until something illusionary was captured. Their agility is amazing to watch as they could have easily hurt themselves. The process is shown in the video which includes a gaggle of schoolkids hamming for the camera!
