House Zero was built in Austin, Texas, by Lake|Flato Architects and ICON to showcase ICON's proprietary concrete wall printing system. The house is climate-responsive and was made using 3D printing. The project focused on designing a 3D-printed house that was liveable and desirable while maintaining net-zero energy consumption.

House Zero was finished with a thermally broken and insulated envelope with the aid of a software-controlled construction process. In addition, the House Zero was made with natural wood and basic elements. A biophilic design principle was applied to the house's construction o create a calming and eco-friendly environment. While House Zero features robotic-printed concrete elements, the house remains cozy and welcoming to the homeowner with a focus on sustainability.
