Heritage Auctions Displays Vintage Hollywood Theater Posters

A trove of vintage Hollywood theater posters will be put on the market at an upcoming Heritage Auctions sale in Dallas, Texas. Reminiscent of Gatsby-esque glamor, the batch of advertisements were found in a northeastern Pennsylvania attic.

According to Heritage Auctions representative Grey Smith, the attic was likely the storage site of a Depression-era film house. To their benefit, the Heritage Auctions group received the historic set from an anonymous buyer who acquired them at a previous Pennsylvania auction. The original owner of the collection remains unknown.

The Hollywood theater posters are incredibly rare, and are expected to bring in around $250,000. This is fitting given their rare display of motion picture classics like "Little Caesar," "The Public Enemy," and "Cimarron," a vintage aficionados dream. Whoever acquires the bygone era snapshots will be making a wise investment.
