Senior-Focused Airbag Belts

The Hip'Air Belt Automatically Inflates When Its Wearer Suffers a Fall

French company Helite has introduced a revolutionary airbag, dubbed the Hip'Air belt, that isn't designed to function as a vehicle safety module but rather as a wearable device to protect seniors from nasty falls.

Falls can be extremely serious for seniors, and can often cause a severe and irreversible deterioration in health and quality of life. To mitigate the effects of falls, the Hip'Air belt, which is worn around the waist, is capable of detecting when a fall takes place and respond by inflating automatically. The system is fitted with sensors that analyze movements as often as 1,000 times a second, and is capable of inflating the airbag in only 80 milliseconds.

With a comfortable design that ensures it's not intrusive to wear, this revolutionary airbag is positioning itself as a potentially life-changing wearable for seniors.
