Get Stoked Over These Haroshi Transparent Shoes

These Haroshi Transparent Shoes will show you how to put your best foot forward. Self-taught Tokyo-based artist Haroshi is constantly using his passion of skateboarding to drive his craft. In these three sculptures, Haroshi uses three classic kicks to hold his skateboard feet in place.

Each foot is completely carved out of old skateboards decks. Haroshi adds various styles to each individual creation, each foot being created using a different technique from a wooden mosaic, to dots, to pixels. The coloful patterns grind perfectly together as they form three dimensional sculptures.

Haroshi's art encapsulates the DIY nature of skateboarding, while perserving each board in order to create something amazing. Haroshi Transparent Shoes are currently exhibited at Art Basel at the Jonathan LeVine setup at SCOPE.
