GoodWaste Explores Circular Production in the Department Store World

Design house GoodWaste unveiled its latest sustainable collection in collaboration with the international retail giant, Selfridges. GoodWaste has reclaimed the department store's old waste materials and turned them into elevated home decor pieces. Dubbed the 'Super Circular Department Store' project, the goal was to explore how department stores can turn old scraps into marketable stock.

The five-piece collection includes candles, lamps, and a vase. All materials were sourced from Selfridge's Oxford Street location as well as from the surrounding London area. From wax, steel, acrylic to light bulbs, all materials were carefully sourced from local suppliers. For example, the LED light bulbs come from the London-based brand Tala.

The line is priced affordably to make sustainable shopping accessible to all.
