Virgin Unite's Global Goals Initiative Gets Young People Involved

Following the new set of UN global goals that were set earlier this week in a long-term endeavor to eradicate extreme poverty, Virgin Unite launched a heroic global goals initiative. The Global Goals Alliance assigns different superheroes to each of the 17 goals. You can upload a photo so your head is superimposed to the goal that resonates most with you. For example, if you are most passionate about quality education, you can add a photo to make you look like a hero fighting for that cause.

In order for the global goals initiative to work, young people need to be actively engaged in the process. This means raising awareness as well as taking action and putting pressure on world leaders as they fulfill country commitments.
