The 'Gigatronik' Golf Cart Fuses Traditional Design with Modern Elements

The 'Gigatronik' may resemble a traditional golf cart, but its capabilities are much more like that of a car. In designing the Gigatronik, Felix Schumacher wanted to make something that could not only be used on the golf course but in suburban streets as well.

Because of its small size and open construction, the Gigatronik is not quite legal for street use. However, its engine resembles one found in an electric car. Its open concept also means that it can be used on sidewalks and bike lanes. Much like modern cars, the Gigatronik boasts some smart elements including sensors that detect stationary or moving objects used to alert drivers -- a feature that could be useful in crowded streets. Other features include a parking assistant, back-up alert and emergency brake.
