Construction of MVRDV's Future Towers India is Underway

Dutch architecture firm MVRDV has begun construction on Future Towers India, a modern apartment complex for the city of Pune, India. Future Towers India is an ambitious building set to house 1,068 apartments, a school, a swimming pool, a movie theater, and several eateries and bars.

The design of Future Towers India is angled to create natural gardens and balconies for the higher-end apartments. The building itself will have a concrete facade with the interior featuring metal shutters and wooden balconies. The towers are one piece of a much larger puzzle that hopes to see 3,500 apartments along with other public attractions like parks and gardens eventually built in the area. The towers themselves are due to be completed in 2014.
