Freaky Eyeball Speakers

$26,000 Proclaim DMT-100 Speaker System

Proclaim's DMT-100 speaker system looks like a series of giant eyeballs. However, Proclaim believes that the unique shape enables the speakers to, "create the most accurate music reproduction possible in any room, in any home." Their theory is that their spherical enclosures help to create perfect balance and timing... but I think the real point is that you will feel like you are in outer space.

Implications - Proclaim's DMT-100 speaker system is built out of two fiberglass layers that are filled with a sand mixture. The speakers are quite heavy because of the sand inside them. The idea to use sand was to help the speakers not make an annoying reverberating sound.
