Flora Launches a Plastic-Free Paper Tub for its Butter Products

Upfield has launched the world's first plastic-free packaging for all Flora Plant products in the UK. Starting April 17, 2024, consumers can purchase their favorite Flora Plant products in plastic-free, recyclable tubs, exclusively available at 386 Sainsbury’s stores across the UK.

Despite being made entirely from paper, the tubs are oil and waterproof, ensuring that the product remains fresh and protected without plastic packaging. These paper tubs do not feature a plastic liner, making them fully recyclable, as well as other paper and cardboard household waste.

Launched in 2023, Flora Plant is loved among consumers for its natural ingredients, 100% plant-based composition, and dairy-free and palm oil-free status. Furthermore, Flora Plant boasts a 73% lower climate impact than dairy butter, making it a sustainable choice for environmentally conscious consumers.
