Ffern’s Made-to-Order Fragrances are Packaged in Biodegradable Boxes

From packaging to products, Ffern is a fragrance brand that does things differently. The organic perfume maker only releases four perfumes per year and each genderless scent launches in line with the changing seasons—a time when many consumers are naturally inclined to expand their scent wardrobes.

Ffern also differentiates itself as the first perfume maker to eliminate plastic from its packaging, as all of its packaging elements are 100% paper. The brand uses mycelium bottle trays grown from organic waste material—a by-product of the timber and hemp industry—and mycelium, to create its 100% home-compostable packaging. As the brand says, "In the Ffern studio, we have even been re-using the trays to grow herbs and other flowers. Each spring, we’ll include some seeds with our fragrance, so that ledger members can do the same."
