Capitalizing on Cancer

Hospital Employee Sells Farrah Fawcett's Confidential Records

Farrah Fawcett was diagnosed with cancer in 2006 and although she is used to the spotlight, she is not used to her most intimate details being released to the general public.

Farrah Fawcett's privacy was recently abused by a hospital employee when Fawcett received her second cancer diagnosis. The unethical employee took Farrah Fawcett’s medical records and sold them to the National Inquirer (probably for a hefty sum) before she had the chance to tell her family and friends the unfortunate news.

The employee has been identified by the hospital, but they are keeping the culprit's name confidential from Farrah Fawcett, her lawyers and the public.

Cancer is hard enough to go through under normal circumstances without having the added stresses of confidential personal details being disclosed. My best wishes go out to Farrah Fawcett and her family.
