Vudu Has Added a Family Play Mode That Skips Over Graphic Content

Vudu has a new Family Play mode, which can automatically skip through movie scenes that contain either sex, violence, profanity or drug use. However customers are able to customize what the Family Play Mode skips through, and the feature can be turned off altogether at any time. Over 500 titles currently support the feature on Vudu, and the company says it will continue to add more titles each week. Eligible titles will have a button that says, "watch with family play."

Vudu is rolling out this feature as a concerted effort to become the most family-friendly video streaming service on the market. This feature could help Vudu find a family oriented customer base.
