The Explosive Color photo series looks like it could have been completely fabricated. But that is simply how well-executed it is. Crisp and vibrant with controlled movements and environment, it concept behind the Explosive Color series may have been ambitious, but it was successful all around.
Shot by Tim Tadder, a photographer based in Los Angeles, California, the Explosive Color photo series involved an air canon, colored corn starch and some very talented professional dancers. The corn starch was blasted directly behind each performer as they undertook a challenging move or pose and it interacted beautifully with their bodies. Of course, the photographer was also involved in this eccentric exposure, writing, "Never have I been so dirty in all my life, and became a real world example of prime color mixing."
