Submersible Exosuits

This Exosuit System Lets Divers Safely Access the Dark Ocean Depths

Canadian company Nuytco Research is developing a futuristic exosuit that will allow divers to safely access depths of up to 1000 feet (305 meters) without suffering the pressure-induced side effects that come with those kinds of depths.

The Exosuit Atmospheric Diving System is technically not classed as a suit at all, but rather a submarine that is shaped like a person. Whatever its classification, it is without doubt a technologically advanced diving toy that any serious -- and wealthy -- dive enthusiast will enjoy.

Once submerged, divers can maneuver using magnetically attached thrusters. The suit can also be fitted with LED lights, an HD camera and sonar. The suit is connected by a 381-meter fiber-optic cable that transmits communication and HD video to the surface.

Unsurprisingly, this kind of technology doesn't come cheap. The exosuit will cost around half a million dollars.
