Designed by an American architect and chess player Brent Blake, the Electric Chess Set isn' like your conventional chess set. The unique chess set features a mirrored Plexiglass surface, a white laminate base, electric components such as plug bases, sockets and bulbs which will give an electrifying chess experience. The chess board uses transparent, colored and clear bulbs instead of the usual chess pieces so that players can differentiate from colors. For the safety of the players, the chess set consists low voltage bulbs and a dimmer to control the brightness of the bulbs.
This unique electric chess board will be displayed at Moses Lake Museum & Art Center in Moses Lake, Washington on August 21, 2010.
