Ford Restarts Ecoboost Production in Cleveland

Cleveland, Ohio will see a Ford Motor Co. manufacturing plant producing turbocharged, direct-injected Ecoboost gasoline engines very soon. The engine plant was running 2 shifts with 600 employees when it was closed in 2007.

The Ecoboost gasoline engine is at the center of Ford's plans to increase fleet mileage and reduce carbon emissions. The re-opened plant will employ about 250 workers in a single shift.
